Baby’s Day Out Parts 2-5

Part Two

Just a few steps out of Ted Gibson’s Salon on Fifth Ave, we were invited to a fund raiser for a very good cause, Dress For Success. The event was called Shop for Success and that is what we did!

There were so many wonderful things to shop that were donated by many different designers that it was overwhelming!  Before I knew it I had my arms full and was swept away into the bobbi brown booth for a complete professional makeover!  The makeup artist who worked on me really took her time, I must have needed a lot of work!  I always love picking up a few new makeup tips so this was just perfect!  I learned what I do right and what I could do better!  Thank you BB!

I left there with Michael Kors Aviators!!!!  A Big Buddha Bag with FRINGE!!!  Just what I wanted!  Not to mention a few swag bags and ice cream!  I love NYC, you never know what you will find!
  Part Three

Next we took a long walk downtown with our destination being the FEAST! Of San Genero.  On the way we stopped by Washington Square Park and were very pleasantly surprised to find they were having the FIRST ANNUAL WASHINGTON SQUARE FOLK FESTIVAL!  What a day!  We watched a great all girl band (wait there was one guy) called the Calamity Janes.  www.myspace.com/calamityjanesband They were so cute and so talented, each and every one of them.  What a treat!!

Part Four

As we approached the feast the anticipation was killing me!  We squeezed ourselves onto Mulberry Street and were quite surprised to see Turkish Food Booth, Asian Food Booths and all sorts of other non-Italian things.  I had never seen that before.  But once again we accomplished what we went there for, namely zeppoles, fried oreos and sausage and peppers!

Part Five

And as if all of that weren’t enough, I came home to find my Lancome Doll Lash Mascara in the mail.  The Vogue Influencer Network and I can’t wait to see my reaction!!  Thank you Vogue and Lancome for the opportunity!
My opinion will follow shortly!

Baby’s Day Out!

Well, yesterday tuned out to be even better than anticipated!

It all started at the Ted Gibson Salon in NYC. I was greeted with kind hospitality and beverages!Photobucket Photobucket

After a consultation with Ronnie Dieterich, we were down to business! I must say Ronnie has the best chair in the salon! Complete with huge windows overlooking Fifth Ave, bonus!PhotobucketPhotobucket

While waiting in Ronnie’s chair I spied the cutest shoes on another client, I just couldn’t resist!Photobucket
This was a technique I had not seen before!Photobucket

Before I knew it, we were off to the sink, this is my view while getting my hair shampooed: a pretty red chandelier!Photobucket
Next I had to use the ladies room. That is where I got myself into some trouble.  How to turn on the water was a dilemma! Look for yourself…  PhotobucketHow does one turn on the faucet? No, not the thing next to it, that is soap, oops, then I was soapy with no water. I thought how objects that have sensors often don’t sense me and then I saw a little black button on the side of the faucet. Dilemma solved!  But I digress, on to the hair cut!!

Gina Kleinschmidt brought me to her chair and we talked about what I wanted and she HEARD me!  PhotobucketShe cut my hair how I wanted it.  As she began to blow dry it I could see the color too and I was thrilled!

During my haircut I was treated to a hand massage with a new product that I just have to have! It was a moisturizer that you use prior to showering, and then wash off, much like hair conditioner.  I loved it.  Somebody, name of it please!  All in all it was a success.  Everybody was nice and very accommodating, even smiled for my camera!Photobucket

My Up and Coming Visit to the Ted Gibson Salon

So, what are you doing this Saturday?  I will be at the Ted Gibson Salon in NYC.  i will be having my hair done with Gina Kleinschmidt  and Ronnie Dieterich.  When i googled them I found the following:
“When Gina Kleinschmidt who’s worked in NYC fashion week, styled hair while Lauren Napolitano who just got back from LA brought some bright colors and did a great job on makeup. (After the shoot I found out that she also does theatre makeup and special effects! So cool).”

and

“Kate Gosselin first graced the cover of People to show off her extensions, ….
play around with the new look (or rather her hairdresser, Ronnie Dieterich—who traveled to Reading, Pa., Friday to help Kate deal because she really is just a normal mom—played around with it) we gotta admit, the hair’s looking kinda good.”

And if that wasn’t enough, after that i will be going to eat fried oreos at the Feast of San Gennaro and even more excitment…..shopping canal street to puruse some new trends!!!

I miss living in NYC but I love living close too!!
